Jaguar's C-X75 Hybrid Supercar in the Making

Friday, May 20, 2011

We have great news for all Jaguar enthusiasts!

Jaguar Palm Beach, the leading Jaguar car dealer in West Palm Beach, Florida, is pleased to inform that Jaguar is making a new supercar to compete with the Porsche 918. The C-X75 hybrid supercar is being manufactured as a part of Jaguar's future car technology which will raise the brand's bar even further.

The new Jaguar supercar will have a 1.6-L highly boosted gasoline internal combustion engine. The painstakingly designed power plant has two powerful electric motors and is equipped with a four-wheel drive to bring on a sub-3-second 0-60-mph time and sub-6-second 0-100 mph time and a top speed of more than 200 mph. It will run on an electric motor up to 31 miles. More importantly, as per Jaguar's estimates, the new supercar will emit less than 99 grams of CO2 per kilometer. The fuel economy, combined, stands at 55.2 miles per gallon….impressive!

The C-X75 hybrid supercar is expected to be a high-profile, low-volume supercar with all modern aerodynamic and hybrid technological features which will be manufactured in the UK. The project is conceived as a part of Tata Motors' $1.7-billion-per-year, five-year investment in new technology and product. The first models of this supercar are anticipated to be rolled out in late 2013.

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Palm Beach Motor Cars, one of the leading West Palm Beach luxury car dealers for new and used cars, was proud to lend its support to the 20th Annual Susan G. Komen South Florida Race for the Cure® held recently in West Palm Beach, Florida. Many employees, including Sales Manager Cliff Gondek of Palm Beach Motor Cars and Fisker Brand Manager Ryan Moore, were ecstatic to have participated in the event.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® is the largest and most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. Breast cancer, which is the leading cause of death among women aged between 40-59 years, is a random disease that can happen to anyone. The causes of breast cancer are unknown, and curing it is almost impossible. Early detection is very critical as it provides more options for treatment and better chances of survival.

Among the many local nonprofit organizations that help breast cancer awareness, the Palm Beach Motor Cars Group is proud to be a part of the South Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Serving the community and helping to save lives is very important to the Palm Beach Motor Cars family.

Over the past 25 years, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has played a very important role in major advances in the fight against breast cancer, including how the world perceives and treat the disease. The organization has helped millions of breast cancer patients fight and survive the disease. With an investment close to $1.3 Billion, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage.

Palm Beach Motor Cars encourages everyone to do all they can to help support this worthy cause.

Get ready to drive the Fisker Karma hybrid plug-in!

Thursday, September 30, 2010

There is a lot of buzz about the Volt, General Motors' $41,000 plug-in hybrid car. But do you know there is also another plug-in hybrid which is quietly making its way to the forefront?

Palm Beach Motor Cars is currently receiving deposits for the Fisker Karma hybrid, the newest luxury hybrid on the market. Ryan Moore, Fisker brand manager for Palm Beach Motor Cars in West Palm Beach, feels upbeat about this newest model and says many Karma customers may choose this brand new car and give up costly cars like BMW 7-Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Other dealers have also noticed a growing demand for Fisker Karma.

The Fisker Karma sports a sleek, sensuous style similar to Aston Martin and is actually a premium version of the Volt. Powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine comprising a pair of electric motors rated at 403 horsepower, the Karma is anticipated to deliver 50 miles on battery power alone before the gasoline-powered engine kicks in.

The Fisker Karma is the brainchild of Henrik Fisker, a Denmark native and former BMW top designer. He has also worked for Tesla, manufacturer of the pure-electric sports car and the Aston-Martin DB9 and Vantage.

Moore believes the green aspect appeals to customers and expects that they may plan to use the Karma as their daily means of transportation. The Karma plugs into your electrical outlet when you get home, giving the batteries more range than regular hybrids such as the Toyota Prius and Honda Insight.

Contact Palm Beach Motor Cars for further details on the Fisker Karma. Visit their online showroom today and view their entire select inventory of new luxury cars available.

Get ready for the Worth Avenue Holiday Promenade and Christmas Tree Lighting Event!

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

Palm Beach Motor Cars, your West Palm Beach luxury car dealer for new and used cars, is proud to announce a great start to the holiday season with the forthcoming Worth Avenue Holiday Promenade and Christmas Tree Lighting Event. The event will be held on Worth Avenue on the Tuesday, December 1st evening. This annual event has always been very popular among West Palm Beach residents and always draws thousands of spectators who rally around the tree and up and down the beautiful Worth Avenue taking in the spectacular lighting and the eye-catching window displays lining the Avenue. This year will be no different. The children, of course, look forward the most to Santa Claus and his helpers arriving to help the Mayor of Palm Beach throw the switch to light the magnificently adorned, massive tree in the center of Worth Avenue for all to see. We at Palm Beach Motor Cars, being the main sponsor, will be providing Santa's "chariots" in true Palm Beach style. The weather service promises snow for the event this year too!

Featuring celebrity Tim Byrd as Master of Ceremonies, this year's entertainment will include Jammin' Jim DJ's, The Palm Beach Pipes and Drums and choirs performing throughout the Vias and all along the Avenue. Choirs from Palm Beach Day School, St. Ann School, Jupiter High School, Bak Middle School, Eldridge Gale Elementary, Wellington Christian and others will perform throughout the evening. So it's going to be an evening filled with lights, music and fun! The festivities will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m., with the tree lighting occurring at sharp 6:29 p.m. Many fun-filled venues will be offered for adults as well during the evening, so get there early for a wonderful evening on Worth Avenue!
